Irvington Education Foundation

40 North Broadway --- Irvington, New York 10533 --- (914) 591-8528

CRITERIA FOR GRANT REVIEW PROCESS

The Irvington Education Foundation is most interested in supporting projects that enhance the educational program and encourage innovation, offer supplemental programs, and enrich the curriculum above and beyond that which is provided through the school budget.

Preference will be given to proposals that reach large numbers of students or an entire grade level; however, creative pilot programs that have potential to impact on a larger number of students in the future will be supported.

Projects will be considered in all academic and non-academic areas as well as those that enhance the social/emotional development of students on all grade levels.

Proposals that request equipment to support the curriculum will also be considered. However, those that would be deemed ordinary budget expenses will not be supported.

Proposals for staff development relating to innovative projects or the startup of a new program are encouraged. Training related to existing programs or state mandates are the province of the Board of Education.

Proposals that request funding for field trips will be considered when they expand and enrich the existing curriculum or initiate a new aspect of the curriculum.
